American Councils is excited to announce an open call for nomination submissions for the 2024 USG Alumni Annual AwardsCeremony organized by the USG Alumni Engagement and Support Program with the support of the Alumni Advisory Committee, funded by the US Embassy of Armenia. 

The USG Alumni Annual Awards recognize USG Alumni, distinguished and emerging leaders, who have made significant contributions in Armenia that have influenced positive change in various fields such as:  

• Community Service: Highlighting contributions to communities through service projects, volunteer work, and educational and social initiatives. 

• Innovation: Celebrating alumni who have demonstrated innovation in any field through notable achievements. 

• Art and Culture: Recognizing individuals in any field who have actively promoted Armenian culture, heritage, and values locally or globally. 

• Entrepreneurship and Business: Celebrating alumni who have demonstrated exceptional business skills and success in their ventures in any field. 

• Excellence in STEM: Celebrating those who have made notable contributions to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. 

Eligibility:

• Be a U.S. Government exchange programs alum.

• Nominees must have a proven track record of excellence in their respective fields, showcasing notable achievements and contributions. 

• The nominee’s work should have had a significant and measurable impact on their community, industry, or society at large. 

• Candidates should exhibit leadership qualities and/or innovation, whether through community service, professional work, or cultural promotion. 

• Nominees must demonstrate a sustained commitment to their field or cause, with ongoing contributions rather than a single achievement. 

The nomination form must becompleted and submitted by September 1st 23:59, 2024. 

• Nominees can self-nominate or be nominated by a fellow alum.  

• Nominations must be submitted only in English. 

• A narrative nomination, addressing the following areas: 

1. Contributions to growth and progress in the nominee's field. 

2. Key achievements as a citizen and a professional. 

3. Community service efforts. 

4. 1-2 contacts for professional reference from persons familiar with the nominee's achievements 

5. Additional supporting documents may be submitted that support the nomination and highlight the applicant’s accomplishments and contributions (i.e. articles, awards/honors, etc.)  

* Incomplete nominations will not be considered by the evaluation committee.
